Turrigan Guard: Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains what the Turrigan Guard browser extensions do with your information. It covers two separate extensions: Turrigan Guard (Personal, free) and Turrigan Guard for Enterprise (paid, deployed by an organisation). It does not cover the turrigan.com website (see the website privacy policy) or the Turrigan product, which is governed by a separate agreement.

1. Who we are

The Guard extensions are published by 8plus2 Omnitech OPC Private Limited ("Turrigan", "we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact [email protected].

2. What Guard does

When you type into the message box of a supported AI app (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot) and press Send, Guard checks that one message, on your device, for personal data such as emails, card numbers, and ID numbers. If it finds some, it pauses the message and asks you to review it before it is sent. The check runs entirely in your browser.

3. Turrigan Guard (Personal, free)

The Personal edition collects nothing, stores nothing, and sends nothing anywhere. It has no network permission and no background component, so it cannot transmit data even in principle:

4. Turrigan Guard for Enterprise (paid)

The Enterprise edition performs the same on-device check. In addition, when it has been deployed and enabled by your organisation and you choose to proceed past both prompts, it records a minimised audit note. That note is sent to your own organisation's Turrigan system (the endpoint your IT configured), not to us.

What the audit note contains:

What it never contains: your actual message text, and no detected value in the clear. Only the masked sample described above is included. The extension also checks your organisation's subscription status with an API key your IT provides. If your organisation has not enabled Enterprise features, nothing is recorded.

Your organisation controls this data. It is delivered to the audit system your employer runs, under your employer's policies and its separate agreement with Turrigan. For access, retention, or deletion of these audit records, contact your organisation.

5. What Turrigan (the publisher) receives

Nothing. We do not receive, collect, store, or have access to your prompts or to the Enterprise audit records. Enterprise audit data flows only to the customer organisation's own Turrigan tenant.

6. Permissions and why

7. What we never do

We do not sell your data, we show no advertising, we do not track you across sites, and we do not use any data to assess creditworthiness or for lending. Guard has a single purpose: to help you avoid sending personal data to AI apps by mistake.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected here.
